- The Salesforce mobile app does not support direct scanning via the device camera. While customization is possible, it has significant limitations:
- Range: Limited scanning distance.
- Speed: Slower due to the need for focusing and adjusting.
- Efficiency: Poor performance in challenging lighting conditions.
Why can't I download and install the Salesforce1 app from the Google Play Store?
- Check your device's app store settings to ensure your account is properly set up.
- The Salesforce1 app is free to download.
Why doesn't the sled scan into the Salesforce1 app?
- Test by scanning into a text input (such as Google Keep or a notes app). If it fails:
- HID Mode: May be disabled on the sled.
- Firmware Update:
- Attach the sled to your device.
- Download the Captuvo Firmware Upgrade Toolkit from your device's app store.
- Follow the instructions to install the latest firmware.
- If the issue persists, send the sled back to the manufacturer for resetting and enabling HID mode.
Why doesn't the Bluetooth scanner work with the Salesforce1 app?
- Test by scanning into a text input (ex: a notes app). If unsuccessful:
- HID Mode: Likely disabled on the scanner.
