Accounting Period Basic Fields

  • Company Setup - Required. References the default Company Setup record used by the system.
  • Name - Name of the company or accounting period. For periods, use the format YYYY-MM (for example, 2023-01).
  • End Date - The ending date of the accounting period.
  • Start Date - The starting date of the accounting period.
  • Status - Specifies the current status of the accounting period. Open allows posting of new G/L entries. Closed prevents new G/L entries and enables end-of-period consolidation routines.
