Application Special Permission

In addition to Salesforce's extensive permission management tools such as Profile and Permission Sets, GoldFinch has implemented additional application-level securities to ensure data integrity and to prevent data loss.

1. Transaction Header Objects (such as Sales Order, Purchase Order, Item Journals, and Work Order objects)

   1. Users are not allowed to delete or update records if the Document Status is not Open.

   2. Administrators with Special permissions can perform the following:

      1. Change the Document Status to Open temporarily to edit the data.

      2. Force the deletion of records.

2. Transaction Line Objects (such as Sales Line, Purchase Line, Item Journal Line, and Work Line objects)

   1. Users are not allowed to delete records if the header Document Status is not Open.

   2. Users are allowed to edit or create new records through the Edit page of the transaction header.

   3. Administrators with Special permissions can delete records.

3. Ledger Entry Objects (such as Item Ledger Entry, Warehouse Entry, Cost Entry, and GL Entry objects)

   1. Users are not allowed to delete or change records.

   2. Administrators with Special permission can delete or change records.

4. Set up Objects (such as Warehouse, Bin, and Item objects)

   1. Users are not allowed to delete records once they are used in any transactions.
