Units of Measure (UOM) represent the measurement units used to define items in your system, such as pounds, each, 50LB/case, etc. These measurements help ensure accuracy in inventory management, sales, purchasing, and manufacturing.

The Name of the Unit of Measure |

Type |
Defines the type of unit for the item, such as Length, Area, Volume, Weight, Time, Piece, Packing, Batch, or Other. |
Item Units of Measure
The Item Units of Measure section is where you define the specific UOMs used for a particular item.

For Standard Manufactured Items, the UOM is typically a Packing Unit of Measure (e.g., Case, Each).

For Batch Manufactured Items, the UOM must be a Batch Unit of Measure.
