When goods arrive at the destination warehouse, a Warehouse Receipt (Whse Receipt) must be created to receive the inventory and transfer it from the In-Transit Warehouse to the Transfer-To Warehouse.
Creating a Warehouse Receipt
Confirm Transfer Order Status:
-
Ensure that the Document Status of the Transfer Order is marked as All Shipped before you can create a Warehouse Receipt.
Create Receipt:
-
Go to the Transfer Order and click the Create Receipt button.
-
A Warehouse Receipt will be generated. For lot-tracked items, the system will automatically assign lot numbers from the Warehouse Shipment to the Warehouse Receipt.
-
Edit Quantities (Optional):
-
If needed, adjust the received quantities before posting the Warehouse Receipt.
-
-
Post the Warehouse Receipt:
-
Once the Warehouse Receipt is ready, click Post to finalize the receipt.
-
Additional Information
-
Multiple Receipts Per Transfer Order: You can post multiple Warehouse Receipts for a single Transfer Order if needed, allowing for partial shipments.
-
Inventory Movement: Posting the Warehouse Receipt will create the necessary entries, moving the inventory out of the In-Transit Warehouse and into the Transfer-To Warehouse.
