Execute Cutover

Once your staff has been trained and you've thoroughly tested the system, it's time to give the Go-Live Approval, which typically happens two weeks before go-live.

Cutover Process

The cut-over process involves transitioning your business data from your legacy system(s) to GoldFinch. Here’s how it typically works:

• Finalize Transactions in Legacy System

  • Complete all transactions and stop working in your legacy system on a set date (often a Friday).

• Migrate Data to GoldFinch (Over the Weekend)

  • Copy metadata changes from Sandbox UAT to Production.

  • Copy setup data from Sandbox UAT to Production.

  • Import master data, including:

    • Items, UOM, BOM, Routing, Customers, and Vendors.

  • Enter or Import Beginning Balances

• Start Working in GoldFinch in the Production Instance (Next Business Day - Monday)

  • Begin full operations in GoldFinch from the next business day.
