When a vendor sends bulk items with sequential serial numbers, the receiving operator can enter the first and last serial number to expedite the process to Receive, Putaway, Pick and Move items.
Enter Range of Serial Numbers to Receive Items
Login to Salesforce from a mobile device.
Scan/Enter the PO # or click on the Scan button next to the listed Purchase Order.
Scan/Enter the PO # or click on the Scan button next to the listed Purchase Order.
Enter or Scan an Item from the Purchase Order to start the receipt process.

Important |
After the Item # is entered, the Scan display screen will appear. By default, the Scan range of serial numbers checkbox is not checked off. When it is checked off, the Scan Serial No From and Scan Serial No To fields will appear.
See screenshots 1 and 2 below.
Enter the first and the last serial numbers of the Item being received. The serial numbers must be sequential. Click Save.
After saving the record, repeat the above steps for any other Item that is ready to be Received.
When finished, click on Actions, then Post. The Whse Receipt is now created and posted.
When the Whse Receipt is posted, an Item Ledger Entry is created for each of the serial numbers scanned.
Enter Range of Serial Numbers to Putaway Items
From the Mobile Scan screen, click on Putaway.
Enter the Putaway # or click on the Scan button next to the listed Putaway.
Enter or Scan an Item to Putaway.

Enter the first and the last serial numbers of the Item being Putaway. Enter the To Bin #. Click Save.

Suggested Bin is displayed on the page. You can use the suggested bin or select a different bin if it is available. |
Repeat the above steps for all Items to be Putaway. When finished, click on Actions, then Post to post the Putaway.
