The final step is to Finish the Work Order. This should only be done after posting all related Production Journals. Since multiple Production Journals can be linked to a single Work Order, ensure all are posted before proceeding.
Steps to Finish the Work Order:
- Review All Production Journals
- Confirm that all Production Journals related to the Work Order have been posted.
- Click the Finish Button
- Navigate to the Work Order page.
- Click the Finish button.
What Happens Next?
- The Work Order is Finalized:
- The Work Order is closed for any future postings.
- Cost Calculation:
- The system calculates the total Finished Cost of the Work Order, including:
- Material WIP (Work-in-Progress)
- Capacity WIP
- The system calculates the total Finished Cost of the Work Order, including:
- Unit Cost Calculation:
- Unit Cost = Finished Cost / Finished Quantity
- If Output Journals have different costs, the Unit Cost remains the same for all Output Journals, even if they include different material and capacity costs.
By completing these steps, the Work Order is officially finished, and all costs and inventory adjustments are accurately reflected in your system.
