GL Account Basic Fields
- Account No. - The preferred format is No.-Description, such as 1010-TD Bank Checking.
- Account Type - Specifies the Account Type of GL Account.
- Accounting Variable 1,2,3, or 4 Required - If checked, Accounting Variable 1, 2, 3, or 4 cannot be blank when inserting new GL Entries.
- Amount - A calculated summary of the underlying General Ledger entries.
- Bank/Credit Card Account - Checking this field indicates that the GL Account is a Bank/Credit Card Account.
- Blocked - When selected, no new GL entries can be posted to the GL account.
- Cashflow Category - This setting is used for running the Cash Flow Statement. It is not necessary to assign a Cash Flow Category to each individual transaction.
- Consolidation Rate Type - Options include Average, Current, and Historical. This setting is used for financial consolidation purposes.
- Difference - Calculated as: xAmount - xGL Summary Amount. The Difference should be zero after each GL Entry is posted or after the Nightly Cost Routine is run.
- Do Not Use on General Journal - When checked, the GL Account will not be available to use on the General Journals Edit page.
- Entry Count - The total count of the underlying General Ledger entries.
- Foreign Amount - A calculated summary of the underlying General Ledger entries.
- Foreign Currency Code - The Currency Code associated with the GL Account.

- GL Summary Amount - A calculated summary of the underlying General Ledger summaries for the amount.
- GL Summary Count - A count of the total underlying General Ledger summaries.
- GL Summary Credit - A calculated summary of the underlying General Ledger summaries for credit.
- GL Summary Debit - A calculated summary of the underlying General Ledger summaries for debit.
- Inventory Account - If checked, the GL Account is an inventory account. It is mainly used to reconcile inventory GL Entries with Cost Entries.
- Last Check No. - The number of the last check issued from an Account.
- Revalue Open Foreign Balances
- Statement Type - Must be Balance Sheet or Income Statement.
- Sub Type1 - Used in conjunction with the Type field to further classify GL Accounts. Balance Sheet accounts must be Assets, Liabilities, or Owners Equity.
- Sub Type2 - Used in conjunction with the Type and Subtype 1 fields to further classify GL Accounts in reports. This pick list is dependent on Subtype 1.
- Total Credit - A calculated summary of the underlying General Ledger entries for credit.
- Total Debit - A calculated summary of the underlying General Ledger entries for debit.
