Inventory Transfers are used to move inventory items between different warehouses.
Steps to Create a New Item Journal for Inventory Transfers

Open the App Launcher and search for Item Journals.
Click New to create a new entry.
Select Inventory Transfer as the Record Type and click Next.
Fill in the Required Fields:

Transfer Posting Date: Enter the date for the inventory transfer.

Transfer-from Warehouse: Specify the warehouse you are transferring items from.

Transfer-from Bin: Enter the bin location in the origin warehouse.

To Warehouse: Specify the destination warehouse.

To Bin: Enter the bin location in the destination warehouse.
Add Transfer Lines:

Click Add Transfer Lines to enter item details.

Enter the Item number to transfer.

Specify the Unit of Measure for the transfer.

Enter the Quantity to transfer.

If you are breaking bulk during the transfer, specify the To Unit of Measure.
Once you've completed the transfer details, click Save.
Enter Lot Numbers for Lot Tracked Items
If the items being transferred are lot-tracked, click the red Enter Lots button.
Select Add Tracking Lines to input the Lot numbers and corresponding quantities.
If needed, you can enter new lot numbers to reclassify item lots. GoldFinch will maintain the inventory cost linkage and item traceability between the two lots.
After entering the lot information, Save the Item Journal Line.
Posting the Item Journal
When all information is entered correctly, click Post to finalize and post the Item Journal.
