Movements

The Warehouse Movement process is used to move inventory items from one bin to another within the same warehouse.

Creating a New Warehouse Activity

• Open the App Launcher and search for Whse Activities.

• Click on New.

• Select Movement as the Record Type and click Next.

• Fill in the following fields:

  • Posting Date of the movement.

  • Warehouse where the movement will take place.

• Click Add Lines and enter the Item to be moved.

• Enter the From Bin and select from the list of existing Bin Content entries to determine the Lot No. and UOM to move.

• Enter the To Bin where the item will be moved.

• Enter the Quantity to move.

• When complete, select Save.

Creating Movement from Bin List

Select the bins you want to move, then click Move Inventory to create a movement document.

Printing the Movement Activity Document

• You can print the Movement Activity Document by clicking on Print Instructions.

Posting the Movement Activity

Click Post to finalize the Warehouse Movement activity.

Collection Size Error

If you encounter a "Collection Size exceeding a maximum size of 1,000" error, it indicates that the warehouse has more than 1,000 bins. To resolve this issue, you can update the picklist Bin field on the edit page to a lookup field by adjusting the EnableBinTypeAhead setting.

• Refer to Managing GoldFinch Custom Settings to configure a new custom setting:

  • Name: EnableBinTypeAhead

  • Value: True
