To manage inventory for different target markets, such as B2B or B2C, you can segregate inventory by zones and serve them separately.
Setup Instructions
Define Zones on Bins
-
In the Bin table, specify a Zone for each bin. This allows inventory to be grouped by target market.
Assign Zones on Sales Orders
-
On the Sales Order, assign the appropriate Zone to indicate which market the order will serve.
Creating a Wave Pick
-
When a Wave Pick is generated, if the Zone field is specified, GoldFinch will only consider pick bins that match the assigned Zone for creating the pick ticket.
Warehouse Shipment and Pick Ticket Creation
-
The Zone value from the Sales Order is automatically copied to the Warehouse Shipment.
-
When creating a pick ticket from the shipment, if the Zone is specified, GoldFinch will limit the selection to pick bins that have the same Zone code.
By setting up Zones, you can efficiently segregate inventory to better serve different target markets and streamline the picking process.
