Steps to Post the Production Journal

Review Entries

• Ensure that the Output Quantity, Consumption Quantities, and Lot Numbers are correctly entered in the Production Journal.

Post the Item Journal

• Once everything is confirmed, click the Post button to post the journal. This will:

  • Increase the inventory of the finished product (output).

  • Decrease the inventory of the raw materials and components (consumption).

Once the journal is posted, the production process for that Work Order is complete, and the inventory will be updated accordingly in GoldFinch.
