Process of Creating an Invoice for Service Items

Question:

What is the process of creating an invoice for Service Items? How does the process change when we have an invoice that includes both Service & Inventory items?

Answer:

For Service items, you don't create shipments. You can create invoices directly from the Sales Orders.

If a Sales Order contains both Service & Inventory items, only inventory items will be included when creating a shipment. Service items will be brought over to the invoice when you create an invoice.
