For fast-moving items, you may choose to print Pick Tickets directly from the Sales Order and bypass the advanced Warehouse Pick function.
Enable Sales Order Pick
-
On the Sales Order object, add the field Sales Order Pick to the Edit Sales Order – General tab fieldset.
-
On the Sales Line object, add the fields Bin and Lot No. to the Fields After Line Amount fieldset.
-
On the Sales Order header, check Sales Order Pick for orders that should use this simplified picking process.
Sales Orders without this field checked will continue using the standard Warehouse Shipment → Warehouse Pick process.
Order Requirements When Sales Order Pick Is Checked
-
You must populate Bin on all sales lines where Item Type = Inventory.
-
For lot-tracked inventory items, you must also populate Lot No..
Print Pick Ticket
-
Click Print Picking Slip from the Sales Order page.
-
If Lot No. is populated, it will automatically appear on the Pick Ticket.
Warehouse Shipment Creation Rules (System Validation)
When creating a Warehouse Shipment, GoldFinch will verify:
-
There is sufficient inventory in the specified Bin and Lot.
-
The Available Quantity in that Bin/Lot > Allocated Quantity on the sales line.
If all conditions pass:
-
GoldFinch will generate the Warehouse Shipment using the allocated quantity.
-
You may post the shipment immediately—no Warehouse Pick record is required.
