Scan Putaways

Scan Putaway can be used by the Warehouse staff to put away inventory from the Whse Receipt. You can use an iPhone, iPad, or any Android device as your mobile scanning device.

User Setup

Scanning options are defined in the User Setup which will define the warehouse and scanning features a user can access.

Access User Setup:

• Open the App Launcher and select User Setup.

Configure Warehouse Access:

• Select a Warehouse if needed.

• By default, users are allowed to scan putaway only in the warehouse selected.

• Leave this field blank to allow putaway for all warehouses.

Add Menu Item:

• Edit the Menu field to include "Putaway" for the user.

Accessing the Menu Page

• Use a mobile device (iOS or Android) to log into Salesforce.

• Menu options visible to the user are configured in User Setup.

Scan or select the Putaway.

Scan Process without Pallets

Item Blocks:

You will see items show up in blocks, with 3 possible colors:

• Red/Pink: Nothing has been putaway for the item.

• Yellow: Partially putaway for the item.

• Green: Fully putaway for the item.

Details in Each Block:

• Item Name

• Item Description

• Bin

• Qty: Quantity to be putaway.

• Rem'g: Remaining quantity to putaway.

• Put: Quantity that has already been putaway.

• UOM: Unit of Measure.

Scanning Process

Scan or Enter Item Details:

• Use the "Enter" key to confirm manually entered data.

• You can scan either Item No. or GTIN on the Item Unit of Measure table.

After entering an item, scan or enter the Quantity, the Lot, and the Bin.

You can also click the search button to look up records.

Suggested Bin is displayed on the page. You can use the suggested bin or select a different bin if it is available. Click the search button to look up bin records.

Tracked Items:

If the item is a lot-tracked, enter or select the lot # → enter quantity → enter bin → Save.

Non-Tracked Items:

If the item is not lot tracked, enter the quantity → enter bin → Save.

You can double-click the item block to see the Item, the Lot, and the Quantity of the putaway.

Scan Process with Pallets

Enter or Scan a Pallet:

Scan or enter the Quantity and the Bin.

Suggested Bin is displayed on the page. You can use the suggested bin or select a different bin if it is available. Click the search button to look up bin records.

Posting Putaway

When all items have been putaway, the Putaway is ready to be posted.

Click Actions → Post.
