The Scan Receive feature enables warehouse staff to efficiently scan and receive inventory for Purchase Orders. This process streamlines inventory management and ensures accuracy.
User Setup for Scan Receive
Define Scanning Options:

Configure scanning options in User Setup to specify the warehouse and scanning features available to each user.
Access User Setup:

Open the App Launcher and navigate to User Setup.
Warehouse Configuration:
-
Assign a warehouse to restrict receiving to that location.
-
Leave the warehouse field blank to allow receiving across all warehouses.

Menu Setup:

Add "Receive" to the Menu field for the user.
Accessing the Menu Page
-
Use a mobile device (iOS or Android) to log into Salesforce.
-
Menu options visible to the user are configured in User Setup.
Purchase Order List Page
Scan or Select a Purchase Order:
Only Purchase Orders meeting these criteria will appear:

Document Status: Open or Back Order.
-
Number of Purchase Lines: Greater than 0.
-
Filtered by the warehouse specified in User Setup (if any).

Default display includes Purchase Orders with Expected Receipt Dates within 7 days before or after today.

Older Expected Receipt Dates will be listed first.
Scan the PO # or click the Scan button next to a listed Purchase Order.
Scan Items Page
Item Blocks:
Items will display in blocks with the following color codes:

Red/Pink: No items received.
-
Yellow: Partially received.
-
Green: Fully received.
Details in Each Block:

Item No.
-
Item Description
-
To Bin
-
Qty: Quantity to receive.
-
Rem'g: Remaining quantity.
-
Rec'd: Received quantity.
-
UOM: Unit of Measure from the Purchase Order.
Scanning Process
Scan or Enter Item Details:
-
Use the "Enter" key to confirm manually entered data.

You can scan either Item No. or GTIN on the Item Unit of Measure table.
Scan Bin (if required):
-
Only if Scan Bin Required has been checked in the User Setup.

Select or scan a Bin # from the available list.
-
Only receive items into one bin per entry.
Tracked Items:
-
Lot-Tracked:
-
Scan Lot # → Enter Manufacture Date, Expiration Date, and Country of Origin → Save.

Serial-Tracked:
-
Scan Serial # → Save.
-
-
Lot and Serial-Tracked:
-
Scan Lot # → Enter details → Save → Scan Serial # → Save.

Non-Tracked Items:
-
Enter quantity → Save.
View Received Details:
-
Double-click an item block to view received Lot Nos., quantities, and bins.

Click Reset to undo and start again.

Actions Menu

Post: Post the receipt for scanned items.

Reset All: Reset all items in the Purchase Order.

GoldFinch Scan Lines
All scanned quantities are saved to the Scan Line table.
