Overview
Depending on your production process, you may need to print a Work Order Pick Ticket to instruct production staff which raw materials to pull for each work order. This step is typically performed after the Production Input Bin has been replenished.
For information on replenishing the Production Input Bin, see Replenishing Production Input Bin.
If your raw materials are stored in a warehouse and must be picked before being moved to production, follow the standard warehouse picking process instead. See Create Picks from Work Orders – GoldFinch Clientcare for more information.
Printing Options
The Work Order Pick Ticket can be printed using one of two methods for each parent item:
- Single Batch – Prints only the materials required for a single production batch.
- Work Order – Prints the total material requirements for the entire work order.
The printing behavior is controlled by the Single Batch Printing field on the Parent Item record.
- Selected – Prints one pick ticket for each production batch.
- Not Selected – Prints a single pick ticket showing the total quantities required for the entire work order.
Print the Work Order Pick Ticket
- Open the Work Order.
- Click Print WO Pick.
- The Work Order Pick Ticket is generated, displaying:
- Required Pick Quantity
- Quantity On Hand
- Warehouse location information (if applicable)
The pick ticket can then be used by warehouse or production personnel to gather the required raw materials before production begins.
