When running the Calculate Inventory Zero Out Costs routine in GFERP, you may receive the following error due to the large number of Item Ledger Entries:
Query Error: Too many query rows: 50001
This error may still occur even after changing ZeroOutRoutineSize to 1.
As a workaround, use the attached CSV template to create the Inventory Zero Out Cost records manually and import them into GoldFinch.
Prepare the CSV File
Update the following columns in the CSV template:
- Item
- Warehouse
- GL Ledger
- Zero Out Cost Amount
- Posting Date
The Zero Out Cost Amount must be the reverse of the existing inventory value.
For example:
- Existing inventory value:
$0.05 - Zero Out Cost Amount:
-$0.05
Save the completed file in CSV format.
Import the CSV File
Use the out-of-the-box Import button to import the completed CSV file.
Follow the standard import steps to:
- Upload the CSV file.
- Map the CSV columns to the corresponding GoldFinch fields.
- Review the mapped values.
- Complete the import.
Review the Imported Records
After the import is complete, create a list view using the following filters:
- Zero Out Cost equals
True - Posted equals
False
Review the records to confirm that the Item, Warehouse, GL Ledger, Zero Out Cost Amount, and Posting Date are correct.
Post the Zero Out Inventory Costs
From the filtered list view:
- Select the records that you want to post.
- Click Post Zero Out Inventory Cost.
- Confirm that the records are posted successfully.
After posting, the Posted field should be updated to True.
