If the Supply Plan does not appear to explode all BOMs or generate purchasing requirements for all components, complete the following checks.
1. Review Apex Jobs
Open the Apex Jobs page and confirm that the Supply Plan completed successfully.
Review the job details to verify that no errors occurred during processing. If the Supply Plan failed, resolve the Apex error and run the plan again before reviewing the results.
2. Review Calculation Lines
Filter the Calculation Lines using the following criteria:
- Source Type contains Last Step
- Replenishment System equals Work Order
Calculation Lines that meet these criteria generally indicate one of the following conditions:
- The item does not have a BOM defined.
- The item’s Replenishment System is set to Work Order, but it should be set to Purchase because no BOM exists.
For an item with a valid BOM, GoldFinch should explode the BOM and calculate the component requirements before suggesting the final Work Order.
Therefore, if an item remains at the Last Step with a Replenishment System of Work Order, review the item setup and confirm that:
- A valid BOM is defined.
- The BOM is active and applicable.
- The Replenishment System is correctly configured.
- Items without BOMs are configured as Purchase rather than Work Order.
