Understand when contract requirements extend beyond configured Salesforce records and require e-signature or specialized CLM functionality.
Functions that may require an additional product
- Authoring contracts from controlled templates
- Clause libraries and approved fallback language
- Collaborative redlining and negotiation
- Automated comparison of contract language
- Electronic signature and signer authentication
- Legal obligation and clause compliance monitoring
- Advanced document generation
- Counterparty portals for negotiation
- AI extraction and analysis of contract clauses
Integration options
Organizations may evaluate Salesforce Revenue Cloud contract lifecycle management or a compatible AppExchange product. Organizations can also integrate e-signature products with Salesforce. Product selection, licensing, security review, legal review, configuration, and testing are separate from standard GoldFinch functionality.
Evaluation questions
- Does the product support the organization's contract types and approval policies?
- Which data and documents remain in Salesforce, and which are stored externally?
- How are templates, clauses, redlines, signatures, and executed documents versioned?
- What permissions, encryption, retention and audit evidence are available?
- How are signed terms converted into structured dates, values and obligations?
- How will contract changes update GoldFinch subscriptions, orders, projects or accounting schedules?
- What licenses are required for administrators, requesters, approvers and counterparties?
RFQ response guidance
Describe advanced CLM and e-signature requirements as integration-required unless the named product has been licensed, implemented, and tested. Do not answer Yes solely because an application is available on the Salesforce ecosystem.
