Budget dimensions

CloudBudget can organize budget lines using the dimensions the organization requires. GoldFinch dimensions can map to the corresponding CloudBudget fields so planned and actual amounts use a consistent reporting structure.

• Fund and Fund Type
• Division, area, department, and cost center
• Program, project, grant, and customer
• Product and General Ledger account or object
• Reporting category and account rollup

Hierarchies and rollups

You may enter a budget at a detailed General Ledger object level and report it at higher categories. For example, individual expense accounts can roll up to a personnel or operating-expense category. The same model can show one fund, several selected funds, or a consolidated multi-fund view.

Authorized access

Salesforce sharing rules and permissions can limit which funds, departments, accounts, or categories a user may view or edit. The implementation team documents whether each restriction applies to entry, approval, reporting, or all three.
