CloudBudget integrates with GoldFinch to combine planned amounts with actual financial activity. Reports can show one fund, combined funds, departments, divisions, programs, cost centers, accounts, and categories. Authorized users can drill from summary results to supporting detail.

Encumbrances and commitments

When included in the approved integration design, open GoldFinch purchasing commitments can be incorporated into available-budget reporting. The report can distinguish budget, actual, encumbered or committed, remaining, and forecast amounts. The organization defines when a commitment begins, changes, and closes.

Warnings and unusual trends

CloudBudget nonprofit capabilities include KPI and warning features. Salesforce dashboards, rules, and notifications can alert users when spending or commitments approach a threshold. Periodic budgets also help identify unusual timing, such as consuming 70 percent of an annual budget in the first quarter.

Real-time interpretation

Because CloudBudget and GoldFinch operate on the Salesforce platform, authorized users can work from current synchronized information without maintaining a separate spreadsheet process. The configured synchronization method determines when newly posted GoldFinch activity appears in CloudBudget reporting.
