3PL (Third-Party Logistics) refers to outside warehouses where you store your inventory and pay the 3PL vendor for fulfillment services. When using 3PL warehouses, there is no need to create Pick Tickets or Put-away documents.
Warehouse Configurations
Follow the instructions in Basic Warehouse Setup with One Pick Bin to bypass Pick and Put-away processes.
Check the Is 3PL field on the Warehouse page.
When this field is checked:

EDI Sales Invoices can be created directly from EDI Sales Orders, and BOL Number and SCAC values are not required on the EDI Sales Invoice. This assumes the 3PL warehouse will produce the necessary shipping documents.
When this field is unchecked:

EDI Sales Invoices must be created from a Warehouse Shipment, and BOL Number and SCAC values are required on the EDI Sales Invoice.
