Overview
GoldFinch allows you to track transactions for multiple GL Ledgers, each with its own base GL Currency.
Note
If you only have one GL Ledger, skip this help page. You must use a blank value for GL Ledger in order to post.
GL Ledger Setup
- Enable the multi-ledger feature, create a new Custom Setting record with the following values:

Company Setup:
- Navigate to Company Setup.
- Click on the GL Ledgers related list to add GL Ledgers with Ledger Type = Actual.
- For more information on GL Ledger types, please refer to this guide: GL Ledger Types Overview
- If multi-currency is enabled, you will need to select the appropriate CurrencyISOCode for each GL Ledger. This selected CurrencyISOCode becomes the base GL currency for that GL Ledger, and the Currency Factor on transactions will be calculated based on this base GL currency.
- Default GL Ledger Setup:
To set a default GL Ledger for all transactions, go to Company Setup and enter a Default GL Ledger.
- User-Specific GL Ledger:
To assign a default GL Ledger for a specific user, go to User Setup and enter the appropriate GL Ledger.
