Lightning Pages
This release adds Lightning pages for Purchase Invoices, Purchase Credit Memos, Purchase Return Orders, Work Orders, and Fixed Asset Journals. They join the Lightning pages for Sales Quotes, Sales Invoices, Sales Credit Memos, and Purchase Orders delivered in earlier releases. Details for each page are in the Sales, Purchasing, Inventory and Manufacturing, and Finance sections below.
The pages are built with Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce’s modern framework, and replace the Classic Visualforce pages for these documents once you switch. Compared with Visualforce, LWC pages offer several advantages:
- Faster performance. LWC pages render in the browser and use Salesforce’s built-in data caching, so they load faster and respond more quickly. Visualforce pages need a round trip to the server for many actions.
- Smoother data entry. Lines, totals, and related records update in place without full page refreshes, so users enter and review documents with fewer clicks and less waiting.
- Consistent Lightning experience. The pages look and behave like the rest of Salesforce Lightning, which makes them easier to learn and use alongside standard Salesforce records.
- Easier customization. Administrators can arrange components, add related lists, and set visibility rules in Lightning App Builder without custom code.
- Better device support. The pages adapt more readily to different screen sizes.
- Ongoing investment. Salesforce and GoldFinch are focusing new features and enhancements on Lightning. Moving now keeps you current with future releases.
Next step: The Lightning pages aren’t turned on automatically. Contact your GoldFinch consultant to plan the switch. GoldFinch Consulting will configure the new pages and work with your team to test and verify every way you use these documents before go-live. We recommend testing in your sandbox after the November 14 sandbox release. Depending on your customizations and specific scenarios, billable consulting hours may apply.
Sales and Customer Portal
New features
Lightning sales invoices and credit memos. Sales credit memos now open in the Lightning layout introduced for sales invoices in Spring '26, and both pages add General, Addresses, Shipping and Billing tabs, lines added in the grid, and Quick Save.
Send Email from a document. A new Send Email action opens one window to email a document such as an invoice or order confirmation. Choose the sender, add To, Cc, and Bcc recipients, edit the subject, and check the attachments; GoldFinch creates and attaches the PDF. From a parent record, you can email documents for many records at once, grouped so each recipient gets one email. Large sends run in the background, and an email log shows what was sent and what failed. Administrators can require a To recipient before an email goes out. [Learn More]
Markup % and Discount % on sales quotes. Enter a Markup % to raise every line price by that percentage in one step. Each line keeps its original unit price, so changing or clearing the markup recalculates from the original. A header Discount % applies the same discount to every line.
Unit of measure on item category prices. Sales prices set for an Item Category can now name an Item Category UOM, so the price applies only when the sales line uses that unit. When it’s blank, the price applies in the item’s base unit, as before.
Alternate billing address. Sales orders have an Alternate Billing address, separate from alternate shipping. Mark any saved address as a billing address with Is Billing.
Customer Portal upgrades. The Customer Portal introduced in Spring '26 now opens to a dashboard with tiles for open orders, quotes, invoices, projects, the cart, the item catalog, and an Attention Needed panel. Customers can browse an item catalog, place orders from a shopping cart, and view and export to PDF their sales orders, quotes, invoices, shipments, projects, account activity, and AR aging. New self-registration, login, and forgot-password pages are included. [Learn More]
Improvements
- Re-posting sales invoices: after you unpost and edit an invoice, posting again uses the latest amounts.
- Calculate invoice discounts in batch from the sales invoice list.
- Custom fields carry over from a sales quote to the sales order when the fields share an API name. A Flow action can convert quotes to orders.
- More contacts to choose from: contacts from the sell-to customer, bill-to customer and parent account all appear on orders, quotes and invoices.
- Faster returns: return shipments fill in the lots from the original outbound shipment.
- Base-currency orders set the currency factor to 1 automatically instead of showing an error.
- Blanket orders create sales orders dated today.
- Faster quote pricing: prices and discounts load for many quotes at once.
- Portal: links work on any site name, and checkout uses the customer's own warehouse first, then the Company Setup warehouse.
Purchasing and Payables
New features
Lightning purchase invoices, credit memos and return orders. Purchase invoices, purchase credit memos and return orders now open in the Lightning layout introduced for purchase orders in Spring '26, with tabs, lines added in the grid and Quick Save. Choosing a vendor on an invoice fills in the pay-to vendor, contacts, tax area, currency and payment terms.
Vendor on-time and in-full tracking. Purchase lines now show how each vendor delivered, calculated automatically from receipts:
- On Time: fully received on or before the expected receipt date.
- In Full: the full quantity was received.
- OTIF: both on time and in full.
- Days Late: how many days an open line is past due.
- Actual Lead Time (Days) and Last Actual Receipt Date.
Vendor accounts gain On-Time %, In-Full % and OTIF % fields, plus Calculated and Locked Lead Time Days, for vendor scorecards. [Learn More]
New purchase order fields. Expected Shipment Date fills from the order date and your company's days to receive. Order Confirmation Sent Date records when the vendor confirmation went out, Approval Status shows where a PO stands in approval, and Close Reason Code records why an order was closed short.
Ramp spend management. A new Ramp Integration console sets up the connection, entities, bank and card mappings, chart of accounts, user mappings, webhooks and sync profiles. Ramp card transactions, bills and reimbursements arrive as Import Vendor Payment records for review, showing the merchant, card holder, department, category, GL codes, memo, receipts and amounts. From there, GoldFinch creates vendor payments, links payments back to their invoices, and can roll reimbursements into one general journal per employee per month. GoldFinch can also push vendors, bills and the chart of accounts to Ramp. [Learn More]
Improvements
- Mass close sets each purchase order's Document Status to Completed.
- Receive more than ordered on transfers: an Overage Quantity on the receipt line, within the item's tolerance, is put away with the rest.
- Lot entry screens for purchase lines and item journals handle up to 1,000 lines, up from 200.
- Vendor ledger shows the remaining amount rather than the original amount.
Customer Payments
New features
Stripe ACH upgrades. Building on the ACH support added in Spring '26, customers can now pay by US bank account on the payment terminal and on payment links. Bank accounts can be verified with microdeposits; the verification link is kept on the payment link, payment method and transaction. You choose which payment types each payment link allows, and ACH payments carry a statement descriptor. [Learn More]
Improvements
- Sender and Reply-To per connection: payment request emails can come from the logged-in user or an organization-wide address, with replies going to the sender or the document owner.
- Clearer setup messages name exactly what is missing when a payment request can't be sent.
Warehouse and Mobile Scan
New features
Customer-dedicated bins. Reserve a bin for one customer with Dedicated Customer. Turn on Dedicated Allocation Only on a customer, and their orders allocate and pick only from their dedicated bins, while other customers never pick from them. This suits 3PL, consignment and customer-owned stock. [Learn More]
Pallet details and holds. Pallets record dimensions and cubage, gross, net and tare weight, content type, temperature zone (Ambient, Refrigerated, Frozen), Hazmat and Stackable flags, and an Open or Closed status. Place a pallet On Hold with a reason, hold date and the person who held it, for example for dock damage or a temperature failure. You can also move a whole pallet to another bin.
Pallets on receiving. Check Receiving Pallet Required on a purchase order and Mobile Scan asks the receiver to put every item on a pallet. Add pallets with a weight while receiving and print one or all labels on a new 4x6 pallet label. Each pallet is linked to its purchase order. [Learn More]
Receive Donation. Pick a donor (Anonymous Donor by default), an item and the number of containers to create a donation receipt in one step. Donation receipts always go on pallets.
Inbound inspection and temperature checks. New Mobile Scan screens record three yes/no inspection questions, a receipt note, a probe ID and nose, middle and tail temperature readings, with photos and PDFs saved to the warehouse receipt.
Redesigned Pick screen. Lines are grouped by item with every bin listed and color-coded progress. Pick by scanning a serial number, assign a pick to a second user, and record pick start and end times. Bins are suggested by earliest expiration date, then oldest received date.
Improvements
- Large documents process in the background: shipments and warehouse activities with 2,000+ lines no longer time out.
- Batch Create BOL for several shipments at once.
- Serial-tracked picks: picks pick serials already assigned to a sales line first, and you can turn off serial selection for picks.
- Zone put-away: default put-away bins come from the stockkeeping unit's zone even when no default bin is set.
- Mobile receiving: receive unexpected items when the PO allows it, record catch weight and gross, tare and net weight, assign serial numbers automatically, and edit scanned quantities in place.
- Mobile picking and counting: save very large picks without posting, break bulk into another unit of measure during a move, add a note and unit of measure on adjustments, and run blind counts for lot- and serial-tracked items.
- Mobile search: find shipments by assigned picker, customers by name, city or number, and items by description. Lot lists show the expiration date.
Inventory and Manufacturing
New features
Lightning Work Order page. Work orders open in the Lightning layout with output item, formula and routing versions, input and output bins, standard costs, and First, Previous, Next and Last buttons to move between orders.
Output serial numbers. Enter the serial numbers of finished items on the work order. They are carried onto the production journal, one tracking line per serial.
Cycle counts by zone or ABC class. On a Cycle Count journal, choose a Zone to count only that zone's bins, or an ABC Classification to count only items in that class. Stockkeeping units gain ABC Classification and Zone fields. [Learn More]
Improvements
- Production tolerance on a work order applies when reporting daily production.
- Work orders take their GL ledger and bins from the warehouse automatically.
- Protection against double posting: item journals are locked while they post.
- Clearer stock messages: when there isn't enough inventory to post, the message names the item and its remaining quantity.
Finance and Accounting
New features
Subledger Reports. A new Subledger Reports tab in Financial Reports opens AR Aging, AP Aging, Inventory Valuation and the new Fixed Asset Activity and Depreciation report from one place. [Learn More]
Fixed Asset Activity and Depreciation report. Rolls each fixed asset forward through a period, grouped by fixed asset GL account with subtotals. It shows beginning, acquisition, disposal and ending cost; beginning, current, reduction and ending accumulated depreciation; gain or loss, proceeds on disposal and net book value. Filter by period and GL ledger, include disposed assets with Show Disposed, and export to Excel, CSV or PDF. [Learn More]
True Excel export. Export to Excel now creates a real .xlsx workbook, with no file-format warning, from Financial Reports, GL drill-down, the Cash Flow Statement and GL Inquiry. Exports include a header with the company, report, period, filters and who ran it; amounts are numbers, negatives show in red parentheses, and totals are bold.
Cash Flow Statement for several ledgers. Select more than one GL ledger, and each gets its own Net Change column from Net Income through Ending Cash.
Approve from the record page. A Pending Approval panel appears at the top of a record waiting for your approval. Approve or reject it there with a comment, and GoldFinch emails the decision.
Lightning Fixed Asset Journal page, with batch post and unpost from the list view. Each journal shows its Batch Post Status and any error.
Reconnect bank feeds. Bank Connect shows each connection's Connection Status and error details. Use Check Status to test a connection. When the bank asks you to sign in again, GoldFinch marks the connection Failed and stops pulling transactions; reconnect through Plaid without setting it up again. [Learn More]
Improvements
Financial reports
- Reorganized tabs: Standard Reports, Saved Standard Reports, Subledger Reports, Cash Flow and GL Inquiry.
- Year-end handled correctly: prior-year income and expense roll into Retained Earnings on Balance Sheet and Trial Balance reports, including By Month and By Quarter views.
- Prior-period columns by ledger show the amounts for their own GL ledger.
- Non-calendar fiscal years: GL drill-down follows your actual accounting period dates.
- Bigger charts of accounts: up to 10,000 GL accounts, with faster drill-down on large companies.
- Clear setup messages when the Retained Earnings or Current Year Earnings account is missing, or a GL account with activity has no Account Type.
- Cleaner PDFs: bold totals, shaded headers, up to 7 columns per page in portrait and 12 in landscape. Default reports use your Actual GL ledger.
Fixed assets
- Fixed assets gain a Status, a Net Book Value and four Accounting Variables, which are copied to depreciation lines.
- Depreciation never goes below zero book value, and disposing of an asset first posts any catch-up depreciation.
Bank reconciliation
- A reconciliation shows only GL entries for its own GL ledger.
- Vendor payment batches set to reconcile by batch amount appear as one total, matching the bank.
- The number of entries loaded is configurable (default 1,000), and entries are listed oldest first.
Employee expenses
- Approval emails can be saved as activities on the purchase invoice or general journal.
- Approval errors show the actual reason, and dashboard errors appear as messages.
General ledger
- GL budgets can reference a customer or vendor account, and blanket orders can be assigned to a GL ledger.
- Cost adjustment entries carry the dimension from the source purchase invoice or item journal line.
- Customer and vendor statements show amounts in the document's own currency.
Integrations and APIs
Extensible APIs (xAPI). This release introduces the xAPI, a new foundation that gives every channel that creates GoldFinch documents the same business logic. Record pages, Flow, EDI, web portals, partner systems and AI assistants all get the same defaults, pricing, tax and validation. This first release covers sales quotes, orders and invoices, purchase invoices, and vendor payments. The xAPI ships as a pilot, and we welcome customers to join as early adopters and build custom solutions for their GoldFinch transactions with our team. We'll extend it to more of GoldFinch ERP, including more of purchasing, inventory and manufacturing, in coming releases. We recommend building and testing integrations in a sandbox first, and talking to your GoldFinch consultant before you go live. Not sure which API fits? See About GFERP APIs.
What you'll notice. You'll see new global classes in the GFERP package, many named xAPI_…. They're the building blocks for these APIs. No setup is required, and nothing changes in how you work unless you build an integration or add a GFERP Extension.
Shopify. Orders arrive as they happen through Shopify webhooks. A Shopify Console shows profiles, webhook subscriptions, recent events and processing health. GoldFinch can send shipments and tracking numbers back to Shopify, and marketplace orders keep the marketplace order number and PO number. [Learn More]
Improvements
- Scheduled imports: Import Sales Order and Import Receipt can run on a schedule, and the receipt scheduler emails selected users when it finishes.
- Import Sales Order: blank addresses fill from the sell-to account, alternate shipping can be matched by name, orders allocate automatically unless Do Not Allocate is checked, and new Reference and line Discount % fields are available. An EDI cancel (860) closes the order instead of deleting it.
- Other imports: General Journal import keeps a supplied currency factor and adds an Internal Document No., Import Item accepts Non-Inventory items, and Import Inventory links each row to the journal line it created.
Looking ahead
AI assistants. We're preparing GFERP tools for Salesforce Headless 360, so users can work with GoldFinch from AI assistants such as Claude, under their own permissions. Watch for it in an upcoming release.
