Create Production Journal

The Production Journal is used to record the creation of finished goods (output) and the consumption of raw materials for a Work Order. This process increases the inventory of the item being produced and decreases the inventory of the components used. Depending on your manufacturing operations, you may need to create multiple production journals for a single Work Order.

Steps to Create a Production Journal

From the Work Order, click on Create Prod. Journal.

You will be taken to the Item Journal Page, where the journal for the Work Order is created.

After the journal is created, you can proceed to edit the journal and post the output and consumption for the Work Order.

By using the Production Journal, you can track inventory changes during production, ensuring that both the output and consumption of materials are accurately reflected in your system.
